What is your background?

I am a food engineering graduate, with a specialization in food R&D (recipe and process development). I have been working at MECATHERM for 6 years in the marketing department as an Equipment Product Manager. In this role, I’m responsible for upstream equipment, which is used in the production of crispy bread products.

Before joining MECATHERM, I worked in R&D and gained experience across several companies in the agri-food sector.

What led you to engineering?

Since I was very young, I have loved riddles and science. Whatever problem I encounter, I always look for possible solutions to solve it. The engineering profession  allowses me to combine these two elements at a higher level in my work, by finding concrete and innovative solutions to a wide range of technical challenges.

This profession also opens doors to the industrial world and , products that are omnipresent in everyday life. Working in this industry means having a strong impact on consumers and on our environment. It allows us to contribute to the development of the industry of tomorrow—one that is both competitive and respectful of human and environmental concerns.

Why did you choose to join MECATHERM?

Bread remains a staple in our diet. Thanks to its equipment, MECATHERM makes it possible to produce finished products that will be found on the tables of many consumers around the world. Contributing to feeding people with such a universal product means having a strong and tangible impact, and that is what I enjoy and what motivates me.

If you could go back to the beginning of your career, what would you tell yourself?

It is a demanding profession, but very rewarding and interesting—you chose the right path.

What message would you like to share with women who hesitate to pursue engineering?

Engineering is open to everyone; don’t let anything hold you back. The sector needs diverse profiles, and your perspective is a real added value.
